Join us once again for a wonderful time of conversations that transform and enrich.

Mobility and Confluence:

Creating Withness Collaborative-Dialogic Practices with Differences.

To be mobile is one part of the ordinary life of the helping profession in Taiwan.

In the process of being mobile, people experience the scenery of different places and also the differences between people, the differences between psychologists and interviewers, the differences between parents and children, the differences between partners engaging in conversation, the differences between institutions, and even the differences between you and me.

How can collaborative dialogues be created in unfamiliar moments? How do collaborative dialogues connect people’s internal and external dialogue spaces and then transform them into the confluence of relationships?

Our presenters are:

Meng-Ning Wang (王孟甯), Ph.D., is an adjunct assistant faculty of the Department of Social Work at National Taipei University and works as a supervisor for Child Protection Services in counties and cities in Taiwan primarily. Being an Associate of Taos Institute and a member of the first generation of ICCP in Taiwan, Meng-Ning has always been craving to listen to various stories and feel connected through differences. Meng-Ning believes postmodern thinking and collaborative practice are ways of living in this changing and diverse world.

Chung-Shi Chan (詹宗熙), M.A. in Clinical Psychology, had worked as a Clinic Psychotherapist in the Yuli Mental Hospital. During this tenure, he had a chance to be connected to the world of Narrative Therapy, which enabled him to re-examine the definitions of canceling and therapy in different ways. He is one of the supervisors of the International Certificate Collaborative-Dialogical Practice (ICCP) in Taiwan. He is also the director of the Withness Psychotherapy Center, which provides mental health services via Postmodern Approaches. Creating dialogue channels and inviting multi-voices delivery are Chung-Shi's primary focus in his career. He believes that through dialogue, people will find their direction and guidance and be capable of overcoming life's obstacles.

Yu-Chen Chen (陳玉真), M.A., MFT, is the director of Dialogue-Island Counseling Center and a Licensed Counseling Psychologist in Taiwan. She participated and was certified by the International Certificate Collaborative-Dialogical Practice (ICCP), which was the 1st training session in Taiwan. Having previously worked as a social worker in the child protection system, she experienced the powerlessness and limitations of systematic organization. Through the learnings of the MFT program and postmodern thinking, she gradually found a sense of empowerment in her clinical work with individuals, couples, and families. She aspires to enable professional colleagues to experience freedom from constrained thinking and the experience of dissolving problems in dialogue.

Tsung-Cheng Tsou (周宗成), M. Ed. in Community Counseling, is a Counseling Psychologist at Teacher Chang Foundation in Taipei,  Taiwan. He is an Associate of The Taos Institute and one of the supervisors of the International Certificate Collaborative-Dialogical Practice (ICCP) in Taiwan. Dream, Fun, and Practice are core elements of life for Tsung-Cheng. He integrates play therapy into collaborative-dialogue practices with children & their families. He likes to share the joy generated from being immersed in ordinary dialogues and facilitate the transformation of what is happening in the mutual process into relational resources friendly for all beings.
