July 9, 2022: The Justness of Collaborative-Dialogic Practice (International Multilingual Workshop)

The Justness of Collaborative-Dialogic Practice for Peace and Community Response

International Multilingual Workshop Series hosted by The International Certificate in Collaborative-Dialogic Practices Network - ICCP An invitation to join us for the 2nd workshop in this series of free online workshops.

Today we confront two vital challenges to our global future: first, bridging our differences, and second, building more promising futures together. From the local to the global context, dialogue is the central means by which these must be accomplished. Rocio Chaveste and Saliha Bava in conversation with Ken Gergen will explore what is dialogue, and what are our options for achieving these ends. These topics of concern will be further unpacked in the workshop by drawing on Kanankil’s rich international partnerships across contexts: from academia to action; from governmental to non-governmental; from Central and Latin America to Africa and East Europe.

The Kanankil Institute faculty in joint-inquiry with their international partners will reflect on

  1. how collaborative-dialogic practices was introduced at a national level to navigate the pandemic with the most vulnerable population in Ecuador.

  2. how public policies for families, children and teenagers was co-constructed in an NGO in Netherlands along with the design of the training of their facilitators.

The participants will reflect on the discursive power of dialogic practices for justness, peace, and community response through our stories of practice for co-creating promising futures. International Multilingual Workshop Series: Leading voices in Social Constructionism and Collaborative-Dialogic ideas, will engage in conversation with practitioners and scholars from different parts of the world. We will explore the principles and the applications of these practices in a variety of contexts and with different populations. The workshops will be in English with simultaneous translation (languages to be announced). The next workshop will be online the September 24th, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. (New York Time), "Collaborative-Dialogic Practices in Action".
